Words hurt too!

Sometimes the only thing to do is be still. Wait and listen to what God has to say about the situation and handle it his way, or be reprimanded. When I see parents yelling and cursing at their babies it makes me want to SHOUT! Stop! You are breaking that child's spirit. A child needs discipline that is true, but gentle correction from the heart works better than making the child feel worthless and demeaned by yelling, cursing, and screaming. Think about how many times you knew in your heart that something was wrong, but you did it anyway. Remember that child in you and how you felt when you were corrected. I pray that your experience was one of reason and direction, scolding and a moment of praise, because you tell them at the end "You are my son/daughter and I know you can be better, strive for the great and don't settle for anything or anyone less than that! I correct you because I love you and I want better things for your life!"

Good luck! God Bless!!

Encouraging Words So Sweet to the Ear

Everyone likes to receive a compliment every once in awhile! Did you know that you could encourage your child to achieve greatness simply by speaking a few encouraging words! We too often focus on the bad things and continue to reprimand our children for the wrong they do. Try to find something good or uplifting to say to your child several times a day and watch them change their attitude.

Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions. Small people always do that, but the really great make you feel that you, too, can become great.

Mark Twain

Until next time! Speak positivity into the life of your children! The reward will be in who they ultimately become because of it!
